At the very tip of Cornouaille
Cape Sizun, bordered to the north by the Bay of Douarnenez and to the south by the Audierne Bay, Cap Sizun is the westernmost tip of Cornouaille. With its famous Pointe du Raz classified as a "Grand site de France", Cap Sizun is an exceptional area where the natural and cultural heritage is protected and promoted.
Sandwiched between the Pointe du Raz and the Pointe du Van, the Baie des Trépassés is a renowned surfing spot offering exceptional ocean views.
Douarnenez, home of Kouign-amann and a former major sardine port, is a town steeped in history, tradition and legend.
The Bay of Douarnenez, bounded by the Pointe du Van to the south and the Cap de la Chèvre on the Crozon peninsula to the north, opens onto the west and the Iroise Sea. Dominated by Menez-Hom, the sacred mountain of Armorique, the Bay of Douarnenez marks the end of the Montagnes Noires massif.
A little further inland, the commune of Pont-Croix is a great place to stroll.
Stroll between the banks of the Goyen and its maze of alleyways and lanesways, and enjoy the peace and quiet.
